Cross-Training is often referred to as the “foundations” class for kids here at Knott Avenue Christian Church. This is a two week course designed for 3rd - 6th graders to teach students the basics of Christianity, salvation, baptism, faith, and spiritual growth. Breakout is our mid-week (Wed. night) program for elementary students. Breakout is designed to teach children Biblical truth and real life application through worship and exciting new video curriculum. If ever there was a program to bring your friends to, this is it! Kids will be engaged by the creative use of video for teaching and worship. We then “breakout” into age appropriate small groups to dig deeper into the lesson. Breakout is a loud, high energy, team driven program elementary kids are sure to love. Take a break from your homework and join us at Breakout, Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30 p.m. This program begins in September and runs through May.
Each winter we venture up the mountain to Angeles Crest Christian Camp in the Angeles National Forest. We leave on a Friday and return Sunday for a weekend of fun and excitement. At camp, kids will experience great Bible teaching, worship, interactive games, and if we are lucky... SNOW! Look for a flyer and more information as the dates approach!
In summer, we once again head up the mountain to Angeles Crest Christian Camp in the Angeles National Forest. Summer camp is a full week of fun and excitement. Kids will not be disappointed as they get to take a ride on the giant zip line, take target practice at the archery range, climb up the rock wall, go swimming and hiking. Contact the church office or look for a flyer at the Creation Cove booth as these summer dates approach!
Vacation Bible School (VBS) takes place each summer at KACC. This weeklong, on-campus camp involves exciting games, yummy snacks, interactive lessons, and creative crafts. Click the pic to the left to see more V.B.S.

Mega Night is a Halloween alternative carnival on campus at KACC. Be here for food, fun, and candy! Mega Night is open to all families with children in preschool - 6th grade. $5.00 buys your child an admission bracelet which includes unlimited games and attractions! Adults are free! We have an exciting summer planned for your kids! We hope that you will find something to meet the spiritual, mental, physical, and social needs of your child this summer at KACC. Our theme for 2011 is “Eternal Summer”; learning how to prepare ourselves for an eternity with God! Our activities will be a blast and our lessons are focused on learning relevant faith skills such as spending time in the Bible, prayer, giving, etc. We are excited to get going on our “Eternal Summer”!
Angel breakfast is designed for parents to spend some quality time with their special preschooler. Join us during the Christmas season as we eat breakfast, make crafts, sing Christmas carols, and hear the story of the birth of our Savior in a unique and exciting way. Angel Breakfast is for preschoolers ages 3 - kindergarten and is $5.00 per child. Parents are free!
